LYDIA AVSEC DESIGNER / ILLUSTRATOR / ARTIST

Lydia Avsec is the creative mind behind Copilot Design, an independent studio based in Victoria, BC, specializing in branding, publications and illustration for arts and cultural organizations. She creates thoughtful visual communications that help clients connect with audiences through clarity, creativity and craftsmanship.

With more than 30 years of experience, Lydia has worked with organizations across Canada, combining strategic thinking, meticulous design and handcrafted illustration to create work that is both meaningful and enduring. Before founding Copilot Design in 2009, she built her career in design agencies in Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary, gaining extensive experience in branding, print production and creative direction.

As a solo practitioner, Lydia guides every project from concept through production, working closely with clients to create authentic, engaging visual solutions. Alongside digital design, she continues to create traditional gouache illustrations, bringing a tactile, handcrafted quality to her work in an increasingly digital world.
