For Blackbird Theatre’s production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, Copilot developed a surreal visual concept inspired by the play’s bleak humour and sense of suspended time. The title was created by hand using string, with a noose forming the letter “g,” while worn boots, a barren tree and silhouetted figures reference key elements of the play. The resulting imagery was developed across posters and advertising for the Vancouver production.
